Re: 5:2 Diet

[/quote] There have been many large well controlled studies that show time and again that not only is mortality worse in those with BMI under 20 but (contrary to perceived wisdom) the best range for lower mortality is to have a BMI between 25 and 30 ie. "overweight". I have not looked into...

Re: 5:2 Diet

Sounds like you are doing all the right stuff and I guess some people are wishing they had your problem. Gardening and walking perfect for your age as exercise, if you could doing something extra to gain muscle mass then that would be excellent. Your diet puts many of us to shame, I'm sure, healthy...

Re: Cobham trading update

To all those who are still holders, do not rely on strategic ignorance. That is about the most dangerous concept promoted by pyad. Look around you, think, and decide what you think the future holds. At least in the short term (the next year or two) Cobham will not be good news. ====================...

Re: My portfolio with John Lee

this is lord john lee , author of making a million slowly.

he looks at smaller companys with honest managers, low debt and rising dividends - holding them long term.

he has suggested connect , mccolls , phoenix - which i hold.

also bba , charles taylor , quarto and vp among others .

Re: 1.2 DIG-T TURBO PETROL ENGINE

The 1 litre Ford Ecoboost has been around for five years now, and I haven't heard a chorus of complaint about its reliability or anything else really. I must say I was sceptical about durability at the outset, and I still wouldn't buy a great big long-distance car like a Mondeo or a Passat with a 1...

Re: Tidal Lagoons

i dream of driving from west wales to devon via the severn barrage motorway from newport to brean or thereabouts.

it surely cant be impossible to preserve the wildlife wetlands along the estuary .

the tidal power available must be enormous .

i doubt i will see it though.

Re: Selling items privately - best advice for security and payment?

get as many buyers as you can to view. ask for offers over £... make a judgement on the buyers reliability . if you accept an offer get the full amount in cash in advance - that should only take a few days . get and keep all contacts details. the GUMTREE website is good for selling household stuff ....
