Activity across the UK’s housing market has slowed, as reported by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors which said that the number of homes for sale is at a record low and buyer inquiries are also down.

Wow who would have thought that penalizing BTL and high end property would have that effect? Clearly the government didn’t despite many people telling them. Hope all those people who though penalizing those who own houses was going to magically increase the supply of houses in the UK thus reducing prices are not too disappointed.
Sorry I hate the ‘I told you so post’ but sometimes it has to be done.

Buyer inquiries presumably includes BTL investors? If so then with many investors withdrawing from the BTL market one would expect buyer inquiries to be down!
