New Dividend History Data
Apologies if this has already been pointed out, but I noticed that the dividenddata.co.uk website has now added what appears to be an extremely useful set of data on dividend histories for the FTSE 350:
http://dividenddata.co.uk/ftse-dividend-history.py
It includes, for example: consecutive years of years of dividend growth, 5 year CAGR and 10 year CAGR.
For each company, if you click on the arrow to the right you get a full breakdown, e.g. for HSBA:
http://dividenddata.co.uk/dividend-history.py?epic=HSBA
Promisingly, that breakdown also confirms dividend adjustments i.e. for HSBA's rights issue. I'm not aware of any other sites which successfully manage that for such long histories.
I haven't tested for accuracy, but the site seems fairly reliable, intelligently thought out and well maintained, so it could be extremely useful. The tables are sortable, so for example you can sort on number of years of consecutive dividend growth.
Have they employed Luni or something? :0)

Re: New Dividend History Data
Very useful. My only comment would be that special dividends are not included in the growth rates, and that dividends are stated in currency of issue, not in Sterling. At least that's my interpretation. The site also provides ex dividend and payment dates, where declared.

Probably not, but they seem to have blocked the links.

This seem to happen regularly. They don't seem to like repeated visits from the same IP address, eg when using the Top Up spreadheet to get dividend data. I mentioned it a while ago and someone, Kiloran, I think, suggested rebooting the router, which often then produces a different IP address.
I've noticed that if I don't do that, my access is usually restored within a week or two.

Re: New Dividend History Data
I have a static IP address, so have become twitchy about this sort of blocking (not to mention other privacy-related issues).
A useful way of sidestepping the problem is to use a VPN. While my son says that the free service offered here is OK,I've recently taken out a paid-for subscription:

Re: New Dividend History Data
I found that site didn't include all the shares I needed, so I found similar data here:
http://www.iii.co.uk/research/LSE:vod/fundamentals
Just type in the ticker you need in place of "vod" in the address.
Arb.
PS thanks to whoever recommended that to me!

Re: New Dividend History Data
I particularly like the Yield Graphs. I remember Arb and Jack of Basle (?) showing us how to do them, but here we have them ready made !
As an example, here is Unilever's. It defaults to 1 year, but has more useful timespans as an option. The info at the bottom shows that the yield is calculated from the previous 12-month period, and in the case of ULVR, totalled in euros and then converted into sterling.

Good find, thanks
Mike

For those that don't have or want access to a VPN, you can use Google Translate as a VPN-like tool:

Mike, I still keep up my yield charts, but these are useful too and save a lot of effort. However, the charts Jack used to do were much cleverer for they were relative to the FTSE yield (I think) and approximated to indicating a "safe" yield rather like Luni's zones - in fact may have been inspired by Luni.
I still keep my charts going, partly because these "free" websites can become unavailable over night (look at TMF! and dividend investor) and partly because I can plot my buy points on the chart. This shows how clever I was to buy at a peak yield, or what a mug I was because I should have waited! I also include the rolling dividends which is inteructive for showing the "character" of a shares pay out. Yes, one can look at tables, but a chart shows what you need at a glance.

Re: New Dividend History Data
Thanks for pointing this out Jack. This is a very useful tool, which I will no doubt make use of in the future.

Re: New Dividend History Data
Thanks Jack, I was trying to find this info on the net and never though of revisiting that site as they never used to show dividend CAGR.

Could someone with access to that website please post a following kind of link so I could try this google thingy?
Dividend payments for February for all the shares. There is a dropdown box for a month and on top a heading dividend payments or something. IIRC this would bring in both ftse100 and ftse250 shares.
Cheers!

I'm a bit confused (easily done!). Are you saying that you don't have access to http://lemonfoolfinancialsoftware.weebl ... bsite.html

A 408 error is a timeout problem. Are you getting this when accessing Dividend Data website using a browser on Windows, or are you saying you get this using the HYP Top-up spreadsheet?

I feel I'm missing something. The link I gave gives instructions on how to use Google Translate to access Dividend Data. Are the instructions unclear?

No, the instructions are clear as a bell. I am asking for a link which I can enter into google translate in order to access dividend data, in which website my IP is blocked. Above a link to AZN payment info was posted, I would like to have a slightly different link which I described above - a dividend data link for all divi payments for february. So if someone could quickly go to dividend data, dividend payments, february dropdown box, and copy paste the web link here, please?
edit. sorry, it was azn and it is in the example link in the above mentioned instructions.

Re: New Dividend History Data
So I would like to have something like this http://www.dividenddata.co.uk/ex-divide ... chTerm=AZN
but a general link to february all payments, not just AZN.
