It's just the boards that have been given a suspended 'delete' sentence. The archived page you linked to is part of the Fool's editorial content and (in theory) not going to disappear any time soon. It's still here... http://www.fool.co.uk/investing-basics/ ... portfolio/ ...as are (nearly) all the articles it links to.
The notable exception is that when the main TMF site migrated to the new look Wordpress-based site a number of years back the editorial output for a period of nearly two years, spanning 2006 and 2007, was 'lost' - apparently irretrievably.
