HYP 2023 DRAWDOWN: Year Two - Commentary

#663163

Postby IanTHughes » May 6th, 2024, 5:40 pm

The latest update for this “virtual” HYP constructed by myself, as recorded on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=37063

Has been posted here: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=43323

Further details of how updates are to be made to this portfolio can be found on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=37062

Comments are of course welcome although it would be appreciated if they were confined to this thread, leaving the main thread to simply record all actions taken and the progress of the portfolio.

Enjoy!

Hi Ian - thanks for the post. I wondered if there is a spreadsheet you use to create the tables (particularly the first table) in your update and is it available anywhere? Thanks

The data was probably collated in a spreadsheet and then formatted using the TLF table formatting tool.

There are 3 presentation options....see the link for more information and "user guide"

The sustained effort required is a perfect illustration of why so few people post their portfolios on here.
Including me.

Sorry, the spreadsheet is of my own design and I must confess, not very well designed. Rather it has all been built up piece by piece rather ad hoc. It also must have a connection to my own Share Datasbase spreadsheet, wherein Price and Dividend history is maintained for a couple of hundred shares and Investment Trusts. Another spreadsheet monster! The instructions as to how to operate the whole thing are in my head, and not easily explained.

I do keep meaning to properly design and document a streamlined version, but it will be quite a task!

Enjoy!

OK thanks - I may try and do the same myself if it is ok with you for me to take the general design as a model for the output?
