I paid my usual Christmas pilgrimage to Byrnes today, and spent a very pleasant time selecting the `special' wines to be drunk over the next couple of days. Here's my final choice:
1. La Serena Brunello di Montalcino 2010
2. Felton Road Bannockburn 2014
3. Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 2011
4. La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Reserva 2007
5. Ruggabellus Efferus 2013 (a wild card, but recommended by them)
6. Chateau Lagrange 2009
And I have to say I'm looking forward to getting stuck in!

Re: Christmas selection
Hi CK,
Well if you need any help let me know! Sounds a really nice selection. Strange coincidence that I visited Felton Road in 2014 and Domaine Leflaive in 2011 I was lucky enough to taste through the ranges at both including some of the DL Grand Crus - White Burgundy doesn't get much better. Of course 2011 was a good vintage. Enjoy!
Merry Xmas, Si

Re: Christmas selection
Looks like a fine selection!
I grew up in the North West and had family up there until a few years ago. When visiting, I always tried to make time for a trip to Byrnes to pick up some treasures!? Have they still got the cellar off to the right with seemingly random piles of bottles and boxes everywhere?
I must find an excuse to get up there again!
