Dear Fools,
I have been trying to give the thumbs up to a post on the Venture Capital Trust board and keep getting the message "Invalid Thank". I have not come across this before.
Has anybody else experienced this or know what the cause is?
Many thanks,
Gostevie

I have had it periodically, and apparently randomly (not, I'm sure), in the past, but not memorably in the last month or 2. I don't do anything deliberately different now.

Re: "Invalid Thank"
I have given a number of "Thanks", mostly on the VCT board, and not had that problem yet.

This has been mentioned previously and according to viewtopic.php?p=405201#p405201
"The "Invalid thank" message comes I believe when a post that is already noted as having been thanked by you is thanked again. Normally this doesn't happen because the served page then only offers you a "Remove thank" button. If however a communication hiccup has occurred such that you are able to resend your thank, you then get this message."
It's fairly easy to reproduce, just do two very fast clicks -- i.e. double-click -- on the thumbs up (thanks) button.

Are you volunteering that we try it on your post?

Feel free. You will notice however that double clicking on the then thumbs down button simply removes the thank without any similar glitches ...
