Re: Welcome TMFers
Hi all!
Another (mainly) lurker from TMF. Thanks so much for geting this up and running so quickly. I'd feel lost without the HYP boards especially - I have learnt an incredible amount from the posts there.

So good to see something like this up so quickly. Is there any way to Rec posts? Or is Rec Tarting lost forever?

Hello all!
Haven't posted on TMF for years and years, and just logged in today as I have some money to invest to see the sad news re: the boards. Spooky timing!
Thanks for sorting out a new home so quickly. Not sure about the curtains but it seems comfy *plumps cushions*.

Re: Welcome TMFers
Yes, there is plenty of options like crowns for big posters and moderator status being handed out. Its only 12 hours old, so I need time to extend and improve the features available, suggestions are always welcome, but we need accept this isnt the same software and change is going to have to be accepted. I will do the best I can.

What a relief to know this has been set up. I'm an infrequent poster but longtime lurker and have found TMF discussion boards invaluable.
Thank you!

Many thanks Stooz and Clariman. I still rankle when seeing Martin on TV after he took Stoozing off us hard workers, but good luck to him he did well. Still Stoozing small time now with AA as switched to Reward Card with NatWest.

Re: Welcome TMFers
Hi everyone, I'm more of a lurker than a poster, maybe I'll feel a bit more confident on a new board.....

Re: Welcome TMFers
What a fantastic effort by Stooz and Clariman, in being able to stop the attempts to kill off the TMF board-community.
Reminded me of this scene -
I was also reminded of a quote for that film that I can hopefully butcher a little bit -
'We're gonna need recs, lots of recs....'

Re: Welcome TMFers
Can I also ask Stooz, or anyone else familiar with the phpBB software, if recs are turned on (which is available going off a previous post somewhere), is there then the ability of the software to do a similar 'Best of Board' to the old TMF site, collating the best-rec'd posts from a number of 'selected' boards?
I think one of the huge benefits of the old 'Best of Board' was the ability of it to open very interesting gate-ways into other areas of the boards, where people may not initially realise things are going on and being discussed.
Any ideas Stooz?
Cheers,
Itsallaguess
