Hi TKM. Like me, despite the critical comments on the SA board, you managed to survive until the last day. Yossa123 was red carded for being so cheeky as to complain.

Kicked off just for stating what most were thinking, thats crazy! Surprised I wasnt then with some of the things I was saying.

I was shocked & sorry to see TMF Equitable Life Board has closed. Over the years it has been a source of information & comfort but also a meeting place of others who were screwed by Equitable. Thank you for setting this up and I hope to see some familiar names posting here in the future

I joined TMF years ago and learnt a lot about investing, I was mostly a longtime lurker on the TMF boards and found them invaluably free of bullshit.

The last few years I've not logged in much but many articles I read on TMF came over as a sales pitch for their paid for services and a puff piece.

The boards were where I went for honest opinions. I was devastated when I tried to log in and thought all that had been lost. Very glad TMF have linked to you.

Hello TMFers!

I have a query about the old TMF forum.

I have been doing some spring cleaning of my passwords by using to a password manager, and I stumbled on my old TMF forum details. I have not been frequenting the forums for some years and only just found out that it is closed.

My query is what happens to the account I had on that forum? Obviously it is no longer accessible, but is the account database deleted? i.e. things like username and passwords etc?

Why do you care? It's obviously not "live" any more, but you'd never be able to be sure it doesn't exist somewhere in their organisation. On backup tapes, for example.
