Simple answer to that - Terminus declares TLF an unsafe website and the Mayor departs to the Vault

There does seem to be a small but vocal group who post provocatively, seemingly designed to irk and troll the silent majority here who do not subscribe to quasi-socialist and anti-free-market rhetoric.
It feels rather like if I commented on articles in The Guardian just to mess with the kind of people who would read that paper.

Indeed. It would be borderline tolerable if they actually posted about investment and personal finance now and again, but they don't.
Seeking Alpha has become my first port of call fir investment topics since American TMF trashed its message boards last year. I guess I'll move there.
I reckon that a Classic Car enthusiasts forum wouldn't be very tolerant of posters who regularly slag off classic cars.

There does seem to be a correlation between those Lemons who appear to have little or no interest in investment topics and those who post left-wing propaganda. In a sense that is logical but then why would such people ever join TLF anyway? It would be like me joining the Labour Party just so I could try and mock the genuine members and incite them with statements supporting Thatcher.

No, but a few classic car clubs have removed the Current Affairs equivalent from their forum because of the aggravation it caused.
If Seeking Alpha had such a board it would cause the same ruckus, just human nature.
The answer is not to read it, but as a right-winger I feel obliged to cheer for the good guys now and then.

How would you know, unless you obsessively keep track of who posts where?
I don't see why you are so bothered anyway. People are allowed to post whatever is on-topic for the particular board.

I'm not right wing, it's just that so many other people seem to be deluded left wingers. Poor dears!

He doesn't. He's foe'd me for daring to argue against him and has no doubt done the same to others.

The regular and most active Lemons will have a good sense about each other, just like you probably have opinions about Salvor, me and others.
And your TLF profile does not lie. A look at it reveals that over 50% of your posts are on CAN. You posted over 60 times on just one topic, about the Tories. And the first page of your "recent posts" shows only one on an investment topic. That took me about 60 seconds.

re Seeking Alpha, is it all US oriented and do you have to subscribe to 'Premium' to get any benefit?
Seeking Alpha's coverage is mostly American and Canadian, though are a surprisingly large number of British and European shares are also covered (mostly those with ADRs and ADSs listed on Wall Street), though not to a great extent. Free users have access to articles but this is time limited (articles are blocked for non-premium users after they have been up for some days). I used the free service for about four years before subscribing to premium, primarily because American TMF trashed their message boards (which I used to use a lot, moreso than TMF UK).
There's vastly more than you'd see if there was a similar British website because America has a much stronger culture of private stockmarket investing. Seeking Alpha also has an app for Android and Apple phones.
Seeking Alpha premium gives you access to older articles as well as some articles which aren't free plus various tools. The key advantage for me of premium is that it's a great source of ideas to consider, plus I can look at older articles and get the summarised financial data. Here are a few pages for British companies:
Diageo
https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/DEO
Unilever
https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/UL
Games Workshop
https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GMWKF
Here's Apple, where it's not unusual to see at least five articles and ten news reports every day:
https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AAPL
Seeking Alpha's discussion threads are attached to articles and news reports. A lot of financial professionals post articles on Seeking Alpha; one I pay quite a bit of attention to is Brad Thomas (more than 30 years as a real estate professional, link below).

Nope. I primarily foed you for slagging me off regarding Soco, as well as simoan (Microsoft), because we were talking about our major successes. Also your ludicrous claim that on TMF we had no advantage over the market because the oil price is so intensively analysed.
The whole point behind Soco's success was that it wasn't about the oil price; it was about the discoveries and analysing the drilling and reserve reports. Plus the traditional discrepancy between trade prices and share prices (aka "drilling on Wall Street"). Quite a few people on TMF were incredibly jealous because some of us made a small fortune on Soco and they didn't. As Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger say, "envy is the worst of the seven deadly sins – because, unlike the others it's no fun at all".
My major reason for foeing people is that they never post about investment, troll and shove politics into economics threads just to wind people up. Next up are people who clearly resent other people's investment successes, which you did only too clearly in this thread (link below) where you admitted to trolling:

In a sense that is logical but then why would such people ever join TLF anyway? It would be like me joining the Labour Party just so I could try and mock the genuine members and incite them with statements supporting Thatcher.
So, anyone who doesn't adhere to the 'everything is the fault of the migrants' line or the childish insults against Starmer, which appear ad nauseam in both political and investment threads is 'left wing'? That's just simplistic binary thinking. I for example am a private investor, pro-free market and former member of the Conservative Party. But that doesn't mean that I have to agree with every post blaming migrants for everything nor accept some of the nonsense said about left of centre policies or politicians. Everything should be judged upon its merits, not just 'left' bad, right 'good' (whatever ever these terms even mean). Yet it appears if one pushes back against some of the posts/posters, one gets called a 'leftie'.
And anyway isn't this a bit of the pot calling the kettle black? What's your current political/investment posting ratio Lootman? Or does that rule only applies to 'lefties'?

My angle on this is not so much the left/right dichotomy but rather why people with no apparent interest in investment would spend a lot of time on an investment site?

I could not tell you that ratio although all my posts are available for scrutiny so you can determine that for yourself if interested. But yes, I post both investment and non-investment stuff. If someone posts only investment stuff, that is fine. If they post only non-investment stuff AND they criticise capitalism, free markets and financial success, I do find myself wondering about their real agenda here.

For some strange reason, the full stats which show a user's most used board etc don't appear on your profile. No idea why - but the usual stats don't seem to available on your profile although they are for others.

Will posting my 'winnings' on the Premium Bonds board count towards my qualification of authentication by the Elders?

So what? You are not exactly reticent yourself when it comes to posting about political matters. Is it one rule for Lootman and another for everyone else?
