Requests for specific Motley Fool UK boards to be added

Quite a few posts on the "Welcome TMFers" thread have requests for boards to be added so I thought I'd start a new thread with a more obvious name in order to capture all those requests. Hope that's OK & considered helpful.

My requests are...

Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs)
Investment Trusts & Unit Trusts
Taxes - Practical Issues
Brokers and Share Dealing
Investment Strategies

Hi Stooz (my hero for the day along with Clariman - actually, probably a lot longer than a day)

Assuming you're following the same structure as the Fool then the categories for those boards that I suggested/requested are as follows...

Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) - Investors' Roundtable
Investment Trusts & Unit Trusts - Investors' Roundtable
Taxes - Practical Issues - Managing Your Finances
Brokers and Share Dealing - Managing Your Finances
Investment Strategies - Investors' Roundtable

Thanks

[ Edit: Just saw that Investment Strategies is now there - love the edit feature! ]

Really would appreciate a board for 'passive investing' or 'index funds & ETFs'

Thanks

I'm not sure if there was one on TMF, but I'd be really interested in an Early Retirement board (if there are others who are also hoping to shirk the labour market before hitting 65!)

Seconded. But can we call it "Computer Help", rather than "<something><something><something>Computer". Much easier for newbies to find.

A few of the "other place"'s more imaginatively named boards suffered from this problem. KISS may upset a few old hands, and I appreciate this place is for old fools who may well demand everything be exactly the same as before. But makes it easier to attract new blood if the board names are more obvious.

They don't have to be the specific boards, but my most favoured were:

Brokers
Investment trusts
Must have a small caps board
Taxes- practical issues, while not exciting was very useful

I wonder if phpbb can have forum aliases?

So old hands can bookmark HWTBC but new users look for "Computer Help" and then get redirected to the HWTBC board?
