Hargreave Hale 2021 New Issue

I’ve received my new 2021/22 Share Cert today. Strange thing was, no Tax Relief Certificate.

Before I attempt a task I would rather not, ie contacting EQ, I wonder if anyone else has the same issue and has flagged it with them. Thanks
MW

Not I.

I can't remember when I last received such a certificate on paper. I know in some cases (certainly EIS for my crowdfunding flutters) I can download and print a certificate if I want to: maybe you could check whether the VCT or the registrar offer any such facility?

I've never, ever sent a certificate by HMRC, nor have they queried or rejected my claims for relief. Don't they have their own direct access to VCT subscriber information?

Thanks UE. I only do VCTs and I’ve always received the Tax Relief Statement with the Cert.
I will check the availability of such via my shiny new Shareview Online Portal but I have to wait for them to Post me an activation code.
As you say, HMRC will know and indeed HMRC have never asked for the Certs except for one year when I tried to claim the relief other than by my annual year end SA filing. I hope I’m here to do that!
Perhaps they no longer issue them as HMRC know. I will ask in due course when I’m activated.
Cheers

Same here: received share certificate but no tax certificate. Have written to them.

Clearly some changes are going on: both Amati and Pembroke have sent tax certificates as e-mail pdfs, not hard copy. But no e-mails from HH since original acceptance.

Perhaps the easiest way to check is to speak to a very helpful lady, Alison Williams, in HH Blackpool office, she will know the abswer for sure, she is very much on the ball, HHV wise

Mainwaring,

I had the same query. Searched around a bit and found the following answer under faqs on the HH website…

“The registrar will send out your share certificates whilst Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management will send out your tax certificate. Both should occur within 15 working days of allotment.”

Given the share certificate is dated 15th October, it gives them another week to issue the tax certs. IMHO it’s a bit of an untidy way of doing things.

Tax certificate turned up this AM, elegantly formatted and on high quality paper. Never seen a tax certificate of such beauty before.

Putting the degree certificate to shame?

Get it framed. Then post a snapshot here. :D
