Foresight VCT has passed £30m and is into overfunding. Perhaps troubles in the stable are forgotten or forgiven?

Anyone recollect how long this offer has been open? £30m seems a lot for November.

It's a hangover item. £23M had been raised by 5 April.

Extraordinary achievement for a duffer nonetheless, albeit a prize duffer.

I woke up this morning to an article on the BBC Radio about a fundraising for a Foresight EIS technology fund. Very hi-tech and very chipper with one of their top men there but no mention of their track record or charges. I listen to many unfortunates being roasted on the BBC , what a missed opportunity !

That was just four months ago. And now they've raised another £40m in an offer for 2016/17. I think that's second only to Titan!

The banana shortage is bringing some very blotchy fruit to market, which one suspects may be brown and mushy once peeled.

Yesterday's post brought a glossy brochure inviting me to participate in an offer for subscription for Foresight 3, which is trying to raise money whilst languishing at the bottom of the performance tables. A stream of dividends in promised. Ha ha! Je la connais, ca chanson. Mercifully I only have a small holding of this stinker, and the glossy brochure now sits the the recycling box, where it belongs.

Now I can feel smug about being better-organised than you. Mine must've made it to the recycling without my ever seeing it on the way there.

Having said that, what's the betting I get a thud on the doormat tomorrow or next week?

There is a sentence in the cover note to be relished....

'As an existing shareholder of the Company you will know that the last few years have been a period of transition in terms of both the nature of the portfolio and the performance. The company has transitioned away from the mixed performance of its environmental investments back to a traditional generalist VCT'

I'm reminded of Hirohito's infamous broadcast 'The war has developed, not necessarily to our advantage'.

And already 44% full as at 28 March, according to Club Finance. Sheesh.
