I use a Google spreadsheet
=INDEX(GOOGLEFINANCE(A2,"price","31/12/2021"),2,2)
cell A2" has the EPIC code eg
Anglo American is LON:AAL

Yahoo finance has a facility to show historical prices at dates you select.

Hargreaves Lands down also have a chart feature that you can input dates. I'm not sure how far back they go 5 maybe 10 years. If it's an occasional look up.
