I've just run the new HYPTUSS spreadsheet for LibreOffice and ive got a couple of issues which are throwing everything out:
* Sainsburys (SBRY) is showing n/a for yield, cover and p/e
* BHP Group ( BHP) Is returning a weird yield value. It says 1053.1%
Is there a fix?
The first port of call for any issue like this related to individual yields, cover, or P/E should be the relevant Sharecast page for the investment to check on underlying data...
BHP Group (BHP) - https://www.sharecast.com/equity/BHP_Group_Limited_NPV_DISainsbury - (SBRY) - https://www.sharecast.com/equity/Sainsbury_JChecking the above pages, you'll see that the underlying data is the issue in these two cases, and whilst those issues are ongoing, an alternative data-source should be used if you're looking to maintain valid entries for the missing or erroneous fields.
Do note that the tool makes it easy to carry out these manual checks, and by selecting any related EPIC field in your income-portfolio and then clicking the '
Open Sharecast Web Page' button, the related Sharecast page for that selected EPIC should then open in your default browser...
For yields, I find that the relevant
Yahoo Finance page for most UK shares gives an accurate current-yield figure that can be manually entered into the tool when these types of issues are being experienced with a particular holding -
BHP Group (BHP) - https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/BHP/Sainsbury - (SBRY) - https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/quote/SBRY.L/Note that the Yahoo yields are the figures in brackets above, so currently
9.40% for BHP and
4.70% for Sainsbury.
Please also note that the above checks and workarounds for these types of data-related issues are suitable for both the LibreOffice version and the Excel version.
