Have you been able to change your IP address, and, if so, did it solve the problem?

Seems to me my IP address stays the same, have rebooted a couple of times. Using a Virgin Media cable.

My guess is that it will come good in a few more days. I have had this problem two or three times. I rebooted my BT homehub first time which sorted it. More recently I've not bothered, and whilst it has taken a week or more, access has been restored each time.

I think someone mentioned that Virgin (and probably some other ISPs) use a fixed IP address, so that's unfortunate. I use BT and get a new IP address each time I reboot.

You could work around the problem by using a VPN/proxy such as Cyberghost. This will give you a totally new IP address as far as Dividend Data are concerned. You would need to install the proxy application then fire up the proxy application and connect, run the HYPTUSS, then disconnect the proxy. Cyberghost is at: http://www.cyberghostvpn.com/en_gb and has a free version. Other proxy/VPNs are available.

I am looking at a way for HYPTUSS to get dividend data via Google Translate (effectively using Google Translate as a proxy/VPN) but this is still being investigated. I'm also looking at an alternative (less sensitive!) source of dividend data.

The only other option right now is to use ADVFN as the dividend source.

All Surrey libraries have free wifi so I'll just take my laptop there once a month if need be. Just need that website once a month just before the month end to check the following month's upcoming payments. All the free online proxies I've checked today are under maintenance...very crafty.

As Kiloran advised, Google Translate works very well as a quick proxy/vpn. The upside is I am not anymore constantly checking my portfolio and dividends.

Kiloran might remember this topic but I WAS able to see upcoming divi payment dates for the following month too, not just the current February ones, using Google Translate.

Link is
http://www.dividenddata.co.uk/dividend- ... sc=pd&st=0

I just changed Feb to Mar and it seems to have worked. Using drop down box does not work.

Just over one month of access, blocked again.

It is very frustrating.
We are looking at an alternative source of data
