This is a query for Redsturgeon re his parson russell. Our dog is a oarson and I just wanted him to expand on genetic eye problem he mentioned on legal board. I think he visits the snug.

The condition is PLL, explained here, under health at the end.

PRTs can be clear, carriers or affected. They are tested and it is consider oK and desirable to continue to breed from carriers as long as it is only crossed with a clear dog.

Thanks for the link RS. Our Parson is not KC registered, she came from a farm near Porthmadog and her parents were typical farm dogs. She's a great ratter and moler and will chase a ball as long as you keep throwing. She has a tendency to put on weight but whether this is from having her spayed or from something chunky in her ancestry I'm not sure. One thing I can say is that it's not from lack of excercise as she manages to attach herself to whichever member of the family puts on their walking boots or, in the case of grandson, running shoes. No doubt yours is the same.

This is Juno, she is three and we we bred her from Roxy who now lives with my parents and keeps my 84 year old father fit and active.
