Corgettes- they are awfully 'Non-U' as Nancy Mitford pointed out.

Aye, there seems to be a few that are lost in action in the transition....Sims....Gerald....HYD....Nanakath...Beerpig. Althought the last 2 have posted a little bit on the Lemon I think.

Probably moved to this bally 'social media' wossname.

I on the other hand could not get my blasted dongle to work after a major operating system upgrade on the Mac, so had no proper net access at home.

A few weeks ago, got a smartphone, and this is my first experiment in using that as a way of tethering the computer to the internet. Need to know how fast tethering eats data before picking a longer term data plan after my initial 30 days have run out.

Yes I miss some of the familiar 'faces' from TMF. Perhaps they are 'lurking', or decided it was a good point to move on - this sort of thing can eat up time (although it's an invaluable source of advice and information to me)
At least one of the 'missing' was a Fool London Social stalwart - which reminds me.....

The last I heard, Donald Trump had hired the Corgettes to perform at his inauguration on Friday. They're gonna shake the world with all that Trumping.

I thought HYD would get here eventually. He needs something to be on in order for him to flounce off from. There must be a way to phrase that less clumsily.

I really enjoyed his ongoing feud with Captain Blade, who also seems to have disappeared.

I believe HYD's employer (fund management co) wouldn't let him play with us rough boys on this forum that they'd never heard of.

I daresay he can still mix it with Donald Trump on Twitter, though. I mean, where's the harm in that? :|

In theory, yes, but we live in an age when your employer can legally check out your TwatFace account and use it against you. Fund managers are getting more paranoid these days about potentially leaky activities outside school. (Pause to conjure up a mental image there.)

Mind you, you're probably right. The lack of Fool fans for hiphop-gangsta-techno-hyper-superbad sampling mix with-overdrive-double-dub-bass-remix** must have been a source of endless frustration for the poor dude.

I miss courgettes more than I miss HYD - I normally eat one a week and this week I have had to live off a half left over from last week.

Whereas HYD I never really noticed much!

Gosh, what a superb example of post-modern metaphysical existentialism.

Shakespeare would have been proud.

How do I compare thee, to rather less then a courgette.

I wonder if I could make it on to the scale , perhaps on a par with a radish.

Pity simsqu is struggling to summon up the enthusiasm. Perhaps this talk of courgettes will give him a nudge.

Kind of miss Captain Blade too as it happens.

So;
0.5 courgettes > 1 HYD
or
0 courgettes<HYD<0.5 courgette

assuming no negative quantities allowed.
hence E=mc^2
and e^jx=cosx + j sinx

Ahem, if I may

0.5 partially decomposed courgette > I HYD

Hence e=mc^2
_______
k

where k = rate of decomposition of courgettes per hour* number of hours of decomposition

It was NOT partially decomposed, it was from M&S! I cannot speak to the decomposition, partial or otherwise of HYD though.

So does that mean that you believe that M&S vegetables do not decompose, or just M&S courgettes.

That would be remarkable. Even Waitrose courgettes decompose eventually(I understand they have a half life of 190,000 years)

As far as HYD goes, I understand that parts of him were well down the road of decomposition some time ago. However, as far as I know he still walks the Earth and so the majority of his physical being is likely to be undecomposed.

Well, they obviously just start off fresher, or something.

Undecomposed = composed?

(Cue smoochy music): These aren't just courgettes....... These are M&S mushy courgettes.

Lovingly grown by our hand-picked traditional straw-hatted growers in western Andalucia, and then individually picked by our quaintly underpaid traditional pickers, who have condensed centuries of simple peasant knowledge into this one juicy, succulent moment. Just for M&S......

Then finally, the fruits of their lifelong love and their labour are individually anointed with the special slow-growing botrytis which will ensure the perfect level of exhumation under the sealed CO2 storage conditions. And just a little touch of irradiation, for the traditionally scented journey into town by the traditional donkey. Resulting in an authentically mushy taste on your plate. A consummate feast for all the senses. Goes down the waste disposal pretty nicely as well.

Your M&S....

BJ
