Share price down over 60% today. Almost bought these a few months ago; rather glad I didn't get round to it, only to add to my list of disasters.
I wonder if they are a buy now. They were even lower earlier this morning.

Apple certainly screwed over IMG!
I wonder what management is feeling today. Probably screaming and shouting in their offices as they see their share options and bonuses go up in smoke!

I've snacked on these today and am nicely up on the day, but I don't hold over night as a rule.
Not a lot would have saved you if this was in your portfolio given there wasn't a hint of trouble on the chart. Basically a lesson in ensuring you got your position sizing right when you take a position in a company.

Glad I sold out of IMG last year.
A question now is, at what level might it look attractive to vultures keen to abuse its intellectual property? I suspect it will have to fall further, but who knows?

Re: Imagination Technologies bombshell
People should have sold IMG three years ago because profits were declining.
The Apple announce was inevitable.
Now, there are reports of Apple trying to buy the business. If that was the case,
Don't know how the authorities going to deal with a company going to surpass a TRILLION DOLLARS in market value!

Re: Imagination Technologies bombshell
According to a report in The Times today, Apple have hired away several of IMG's staff so they probably don't need to buy the business but if they do, isn't what they have done, announcing that in 2 yrs they will not longer require their products, a sort of equivalent to shorting which would enable them to pick it up very cheaply. Not very nice and far too risky for me to dabble in.

I think that Apple looking to buy them now would be a lawyers bonanza as "saying" that they are dropping them, thus "tanking" the share price and then trying to buy it would raise a "few" comments.
Also the Apple trying to buy them maybe referring to March 2016
Raptor. no holding in either company.
