I'm not sure why people want to follow these star fund managers? He once made some good calls but that doesn't mean he's always going to make good calls. Without knowing what he sees in this rather motley bunch of companies, it's difficult to see their attraction. It's important to remember that he runs a closed-end equity fund so he has to invest money paid in by investors irrespective of whether he thinks it's a good time to do so, or not. As private investors we do not have that pressure to be invested. FWLIW I hold a couple of the utilities for income but have no interest in any of the others.
