A very positive update from Angle. I hope this will be a major British success story.
I have just doubled my stake. Fingers crossed, in 12 months time I hope they will have doubled.

Brief summary

ANGLE’s mission is to enable personalised cancer care by providing the complete picture of the patient’s cancer from a simple blood test

Angle’s technology Parsortix is a liquid biopsy capturing and harvesting for analysis, circulating tumour cells (cancer cells) from a simple blood test. The process is non-invasive and repeatable. It is intended to replace the solid biopsy, which is non-repeatable, which requires surgery and in some cancers the solid tumour is difficult to locate. It can also capture mesenchymal cells and can capture live viable cells that can be harvested for molecular analysis.

Why have I invested? Well I mainly invest in ITs and some funds but retain a small pot for speculative investing. I haven't always done well with this but I am becoming more discerning and this share shows promise - professional and credible management; seemingly great potential and growing interest from pharma companies. I probably should have invested earlier, but, as I say shows promise.

Regards

Thank you.

I see Preliminary Results out today

https://www.investegate.co.uk/angle-plc ... 00119944W/

The company seems to have been around some time, and as usual in Pharma, there is a long time from science to implementation to (potential) success. I would have hoped to have been seeing meaningful Revenue by now and reduced (relative) Expenditure. That might not be far away, of course, but is more in the gamble than investment category I think.

https://www.investegate.co.uk/angle-plc ... 00065077W/

It will join the queue of things to explore further, but by the time it reaches the top I will either have missed out, or dodged a bullet in all liklihood!

Best of luck.

Yes, you are right small pharma is a gamble. I usually avoid it and focus on areas I know more about but I like the story so far. Time will tell.

My aim is to beat my main portfolio performance - % wise - with these small gambles. So far there is not much in it.

I also bought more today as I feel this has the potential to make great returns if it works out. The Parsotix system is being used for research in many top cancer institutes and there is a growing body of peer reviewed papers demonstrating its efficacy.

The company should have an answer by the end of the year on whether or not it will receive FDA clearance to use the system in clinical settings for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer and if it does receive this I expect a step change in the value of the company.

Other deals in the area, particularly in America run into the billions of dollars and I don't think it is pie in the sky to hope for a similar valuation here if it is a success.

Like noslien I am mostly invested in more traditional investments but keep some money by to target exceptional returns on blue sky investments. If this goes bust then I won't go broke, but if it works out I hope to make a small fortune.

Starting to look quite encouraging

If FDA approval is forthcoming there could be a big jump in the share price. Either was the prospects are good.

Fingers crossed

Yet more research published recently showing the efficacy of the Parsotix system.

https://www.investegate.co.uk/angle-plc ... 00112092Z/

ANGLE plc (AIM:AGL OTCQX:ANPCY), a world-leading liquid biopsy company, is pleased to announce that the University Hospital Ghent, Belgium has published results of research undertaken in oesophageal cancer, using ANGLE's Parsortix® system. These are the first published results in this cancer type, with the Parsortix system now validated in 24 cancer types in 28 independent cancer research centres located across 11 countries.

I have high hopes for this stock. It could all amount to nothing but there is a growing body of evidence that it won't.

The CEO gave an excellent presention last night, which can be seen on youtube. I don't have permission to submit links but try searching for "oYkwyEHI-yw" or "proactive angle" in youtube and you should find it.

The share price ends the day as it started! Had they announced a cure for cancer then maybe the share price would have risen a penny. ;)

Markets can be incredibly irrational in the short term. I bought more of these today as I feel the long term the potential of this company looks enormous. It may all come to nothing but I'm very happy with the risk/reward ratio here.

Confusingly, google is showing a 4p rise in. the SP after hours. Perhaps that's buying in the US ?

There's more research out which looks quite good:

https://www.investegate.co.uk/angle-plc ... 00053138C/

Prof Evi Lianidou, Head of the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory focused on Liquid Biopsy (ACTC lab) at the Department of Chemistry, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, commented:

"CTCs, as living cells that are active in the metastatic process, can provide prospective insight into a patient's cancer. In comparison, ctDNA derived mainly from dead and dying cells, provides important but historical information on a patient's disease. The genetic and phenotypic diversity observed in CTCs most likely mirrors that of the patient's tumour and is reflective of cell evolution under treatment induced selective pressure."

There's been another moderate fundraising, thankfully not too dilutive nor at a significant discount. The company seems to enjoy strong institutional support.

https://www.investegate.co.uk/angle-plc ... 00100798D/

There is also an interesting article which comes courtesy of pldazzle over on ADVFN.

https://www.qmul.ac.uk/bci/the-pinprick ... diagnosis/

Queen Mary researchers have discovered a blood test that accurately detects the presence of aggressive prostate cancer - the most common cancer in Western men.

The Angle thread over on ADVFN is worth a look, there are some very knowledgeable posters and some good research. The board hasn't been ruined by the usual idiots yet.

There's news of yet another research paper released today. The utility of the Parsotix system seems to be being demonstrated accross research at many top institutes. I have high hopes for this company.

There's news today of another contract for their new labs from a pharma company.

https://www.investegate.co.uk/angle-plc ... 00056622G/

ANGLE plc (AIM:AGL OTCQX:ANPCY), a world-leading liquid biopsy company, is delighted to announce that it has agreed a pharma services contract with another new customer for its recently established pharma services business. ANGLE has been selected to develop immunofluorescence (IF) assays using its Parsortix® system to detect two specific protein markers expressed by circulating tumour cells (CTCs) and implicated in DNA damage repair (DDR), an increasing area of focus for oncology drug development. The new customer is a well-funded clinical stage development company with established commercialisation agreements with multiple global pharma companies.

So far revenues at AGL are peanuts and there is a large speculative premium in the company but if, and it's a big if, they get FDA approval for Parsotix in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer then I expect a step change in the valuation as this will open the door to large scale commercialisation.
