Check before you go as

1) Baggage handlers and check in staff are going on strike on 23rd Dec for 48 hours at many airports http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-38347283

2) Virgin Atlantic pilots are taking industrial action from 23rd, just short of a strike http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-38347181

3) BA cabin crew are likely to strike from 21st http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-38319538

Nope, I've long given up trying to 'go home' for Xmas. If it isn't the airlines it's the railways or underground, that conspire to make the whole thing a complete nightmare.

So we're off on a tropical hold instead at that time, and hope to visit the UK when a saner mood prevails in May/June.
