Am trying to install MS Update Definition update for MS Security Essential. Running Win 7

I am getting MS error code 800FO20B

How can I fix this?

I've found updating definitions for MSE on Windows 7 to be temperamental at best. How are you trying? The 'update' tab in MSE itself, or checking for updates in Control Panel > Windows Update? Either way, the first solution here usually get's it to work for me...

First, if you haven't done so, reboot and see it that helps.

Welcome to LemonFool - I see you made the transition from TMF successfully. Seems (like many of us with Win7 machines) getting 'updates' to work has always been temperamental. Apparently you had similar problems this time last year: http://boards.fool.co.uk/win-update-not ... e#13321816 The fix you used then (stopping and restarting the relevant services) should help here too. Or just reboot, which has the same effect.
