If you are interested in an alternative to Classic FM then read on.
I started to get fed up with all the talk and adverts.
I came across this wonderful free Swiss classical radio station online:
https://www.radioswissclassic.ch/en
Just a small amount of talk (in German) but it's just like Classic FM without adverts!
I sent them a thank you and they kindly replied saying as it was a public broadcaster it would never have adverts.
All paid for by the generous Swiss peeps.
If you're interested in 80s hits I also came across:
https://www.antenne.de/webradio/80er-kulthits
They also play German "hits" - not that I recognise them!

Re: Classic FM?
Radio France has no-chit-chat, no-advert streaming parallels of Classic FM ('Classique Easy') & BBC R3 ('Classique Plus' + others e.g., 'Opera', 'Baroque' etc). Only 'Concerts Radio France' has talk: a brief intro to the piece/concert then a recap afterward (in French), the other streams have no announcements but the website mostly shows name/composer/CD or vinyl cover in real time. There is also an 'app' for logitech music server/squeezebox and perhaps other home streaming setups.
Also loads of other streams: jazz, 'piano zen', film soundtracks, world music, etc. AAC, mp3 or HLS

edited to add the 'no-advert' part

Re: Classic FM?
Hey, thanks for both French and Swiss links! A great alternative to listen to occasionally.

Wow, thanks!
So many I haven't heard of, and as an amateur musician (on the Mr Bean scale) I love every one!
Not worried about the German 80s hits. I know Germany and Austria from that era and don't want to go there again.

Nena - 99 Luftballons. How could one forget it? And I think she was still performing relatively recently.
