If for any reason you want another road traffic navigation app on your smart phone, to complement Waze or similar, an old favourite is available.
The RAC traffic app only works on Apple phones on iOS 9.0 upwards, but if you have an earlier phone - eg, iphone 4 - the old app is still available.
If you search the App Store for Barclays' "Driver Assist", that's the RAC app, meant for Barclays customers who have an account that includes RAC membership. It works fine as standalone, whether a Barclays customer or otherwise.
It carries a live map, showing any traffic hold-ups in your area, and their severity. It has a route planner, and is a fine and useful thing to have on your phone, using the GPS locator to track you as you travel. It's been around for a long time, so has been well tested and tuned.
