Something afoot at West Bromwich BS?

Postby GoSeigen » December 16th, 2016, 12:32 am

I've struggled to get quotes to buy anywhere near mid os WBS PIBS for quite some time. Now I see a trade in 6million PIBS at 24-24.6p. This is not a bed-and ISA trade but presumably a very large worked order? I'm guessing, since it is close to lows, it's an insto buy but I'm pretty bad at reading these things. Anyway, one to keep an eye on.

GoSeigen - Funnily enough Mark Taber posted that he was being asked about the PIBS the day before that big trade (and did a write up) on his new fixed income forum at:

https://www.fixedincomeinvestments.co.u ... -pibs-wbs/

Given the history of this one and Mark's past form and expertise in this area I expect you will find he is involved if anything is afoot.

I think you're right. I'd noticed Mark's post but didn't note the timing and make the connection.

Nice to see WBS price tick up but I'm annoyed I was unable to buy more than just a few at 22p.
