We were lucky to catch this film in our local art house. Starring Emma Thompson, Daniel Brühl, Brendon Gleeson and Mikael Persbrant (that bloke from the Swedish TV series Beck)
A simple plot but sooo tense.
Berlin, 1940. Working class couple Otto and Anna Quangel receive the news that their only son has lost his life in the battlefield and decide to resist the Nazi regime in their very own way. Soon the Gestapo is hunting "the threat".
8/10 from me. Do try and see it.

Re: Alone in Berlin
That plot rings a bell.
Since I haven't seen the film (I see so few, I'd remember if I had), I guess I must either have read it in a book or heard it in a radio adaptation. Most likely the latter, as I'd be more likely to remember full details of a book. Maybe someone here knows all ...

Re: Alone in Berlin
Wonderful book, should be required reading.
It's probably not acknowledged enough that there was some german resistance to the Nazi's too and they must have been particularly brave people.
