I thought the racoon had died.

They also did an Xmas special...
all plots reconned cos "multiverse"

Still it's a class above the usual mindless noise

Picky devil

What about

  1. Iron Man
  2. Ant Man
  3. Thor
  4. Captain America
  5. Black Widow
  6. Avengers
  7. Black Panther
  8. Captain Marvel
  9. Spiderman
  10. Doctor Strange
  11. Eternals
  12. Shang-Chi
Lightweight

I'm [not] reliably informed it will be on Disney+ in about 3-4 months after it hits the cinemas :(

Get yourself down here for a front row seat, popcorn and a warm dog to keep your feet warm. We don't have surround sound but it's a fairly large 4K TV.

AiY(D)
Captain Drivel ;)

Like James Gunn, it was resurrected for one last effort.

I have been disappointed with the last few movies that have been produced. MCU phase dive, not spelt wrong! Is nothing to write home about.

I think Disney has lost the plot a lot and is just churning "content" out on a deadline rather than an exciting quality product.

I will get an update tomorrow evening as I loved the last too. Hopefully someone has managed to save this from the fate the others have suffered.

Please please let this be good

Some of the trailer clips look a bit dark...but some look like fun

I'm similarly concerned about Disney and them wringing the life out of this like a jakey with his hands on a soaking bar mat
- I think the multiverse thing has allowed them to be lazy (it was BRILLIANTLY used in Spiderman - but even Paul Daniels didn't repeat the same trick every time)

That said:
- these are good characters that have more freedom to do stuff than most of Marvel's canon... and the Xmas special was better than any Xmas special has a right to be
- so my fingers are crossed and I'll probably make the trip to the cinema before I can catch any spoilers

I'm really going to miss Michael Rooker as Yondu though

Yeah, Rooker was really good. He's one of those actors that you instantly recognise, but can't name for the life of you (well I can't anyway)

'How ya doin' ya blue idiot?'

'Not so bad , rat'

Yeah he pops up a lot and is always impressive
and always immediately Henry the serial killer in my mind as soon as I see him
He reminds me of David Patrick Kelly who I always expect to bang some bottles with his fingers and call the Warriors out to play-ay even when he's in Succession
Guess that's what happens when actors make a serious first impression

Loved some of it. Some of it not so much.

Basically, it's a history of Rocket Raccoon. Maybe too much. Epic fight scene / massacre.

I need to watch it on my own screen.

Too long though. As per for Marvel. Are they scared to leave stuff out?

7/10

I thought it was better than that (and better than the second one where I felt they had tried to sqeeze in stuff they thought worked from the first one in a way that felt more forced)

I felt this one was better paced and flew by - and has probably given the 8th birthday party that was a couple of rows behind us nightmares from the few screams before they were quickly silenced

I've chatted to a few who have seen it. The concensus is it's not bad but the weakest of the three.

On current form, I'll take that.

I was somewhat confused by the Quill/Mantis brother sister thing.

When did that happen?

But from 5 months ago....

Thanks for letting know.
