A rookie con ends up in the pokey at Pentonville. After about an hour, a time served old lag is wandering down the walkway and notices there is a new recruit and does a body swerve into his cell.
The lag introduces himself and says to the rookey.
"Can I interest you in a ticket for the Warders ball". To which the rookey says.
"I didn't realise they have dances in prisons". And the lag replies.
"It ain't a dance mate. It's a raffle".
