It’s a little known fact that Charles Dickens first serialised ‘A Tale of Two Cities’ in the Bicester Times and the Worcester Times.

A little-known fact perhaps, but a well-known old joke certainly!

Another little-known fact is that when William Shakespeare met Anne Hathaway, he wrote 'As You Like It," but after he married her, he wrote "Much Ado About Nothing".

... and John Milton published Paradise Lost four years after he married for the third time.
(It is untrue, though, that he published Paradise Regained after his wife died - she outlived him)
