Convienient
"Convienient" - This is described as a new way to manage our Council Tax account online.
I'm still trying to work out how to pronounce it before I contact them to ask what it means.

I blame the teechers.
A mis-spelling I see regularly is 'defiantly', when they obviously mean 'definitely'. For example "You can defiantly manage your Council Tax more easily online." (I made that one up though.)
It's so common that I think youngsters are beginning to think the two words mean the same.
Maybe this should be on Bitter Lemons...

You say "There, their, they're, never mined..."

Re: Convienient
its vs it's is bad enough.
But ones vs one's is even worse, especially as ones can also be a plural ("The Young Ones")
I think our language was intentionally designed to confuse Johnny Foreigner; it certainly confuses me.

Reminds me of the little-known younger sister of Karl Marx who invented the starting pistol, widely used nowadays in athletics.
Her name was Onya.

Onya? What a strange name. Are you sure it wasn't Anya?
On a certain popular website I use, no matter what time of day I log on, for the past two years (multiple times daily) I've received the message:
"We are expiriencing a high level of traffic at the moment. Click here to prove you are not a BOT".
They're far too busy to open a spell checker obviously, but also, am I supposed to guess what the acronym BOT represents? Boring Old Tosser perhaps?

Never mind the spelling. When I see a message like that I find myself wondering where visiting bots are supposed to click.

Personally, I find it quite difficult to control a mouse with my buttocks, and I don't have a big enough pimple to selectively press the buttons.
I actually usually use a graphics tablet which has a stylus but... no, I would rather not go there.

Which reminds me:
There was a young man of La Plata
Who was widely renowned as a phata.
His explosive reports
At the Argentine sports
Made him much in demand as a stata.
Aye thang yew.
