Gift for a 13-year-old girl?

#19343

Postby bl734 » January 2nd, 2017, 12:24 am

I am looking for a gift for a girl 13 years old. The budget is about £30. She loves baking cupcakes and cookies. Any ideas? Many thanks.

If you're wanting something 'kitchen' related, then have you taken a look at the 'Joseph Joseph' range of kit?

They've got some really nice 'nesting' measuring spoons/cups/bowls -

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01EG0UHLQ/ ... B01DADFHYM

Note that the nesting bowls above are for the 'red' range, although the picture looks to be multi-coloured, so do check before ordering if you're wanting a specific colour-range. It looks like the 'multi' coloured range are a little bit more expensive, but might be worth an email to check?

Also might be worth a look on the above linked pages for the area marked 'Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought', as that might give you some good ideas as well?

Good Luck!

For my daughter's 14th I lighted on the idea of cupcake making. It turned out to be a success. I had been wandering around Hobbycraft (no affiliation) when I came across a whole cupcake section. I bought lots and lots and lots of little things to facilitate the making of them. Almost any budget can be matched.

Regards,
Chris

I bought my two 11 year old granddaughters a Breville mixer each - in this they make bread, cakes and many other things

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1

Top up with cake tins etc etc - for Christmas, inter alia, I bought them each a Battenburg tin.

Lakeland is a food place to look - especially in the sales as also is Sainsbury's - again in the sales which happen periodically throughout the year

What about a book on looking at cooking as chemistry experiments? It might widen her horizons...
