Who is Alexa [Bot] , often seen lurking ?
Obviously an automated process, but doing what exactly ?
(I assume the similar Google Adsense bot monitors/controls the ads at the top of the page)

Are these registered users? Or does the BB s/w automatically track/allow these [bots]? Which presumably are read-only and never want to post anything.
