The board has a broader remit than the old TMF Banking Board - which I am sure will please quite a few of us.

This board is intended for discussion of fixed income, across all sectors and geographies including distressed opportunities, and discussion of the banking sector and its regulation in general.

You aren't really invited - you have to register and then if all is OK you will get almost instant access

It seems I don't pass the test...

Only ever lurked on the board on the old Fool, tried to register with OBR's new board but have had no e-mail to confirm registration.

Maybe my e-mail address is somehow dodgy.

That's a shame.

OldBoyReturns new banking sector and fixed income discussion board at http://www.fixedincomeinvestments.co.uk/boards/ seems to be coming together nicely and has some good discussion and neat features already such as recs, sharing posts, unread posts, embedding screen grabs in posts, current prices of bonds being discussed. Makes sense for an investment board for a complex area such as fixed income to be part of a site which provides information, comment and ideas on that area. Well worth registering (you don't need to be invited btw) and contributing there as well as here imho.

Yes, registered at OBR's site as well. I suspect this board may well be a rather quiet place. But I, and I hope others, will be able to deal with reading / posting in two places as I think both have merit.

In a thoughtful touch, the 'Closure Notice' at 'the old place' now includes a link to OBR's site as well as the Lemon Fool one that's been there for a while. http://www.fool.co.uk/help/community/cl ... on-boards/

I agree Bree, thoughtful. IMHO whilst they could have given a little more notice TMF have acted extremely well through the closure period. I completely understand their decision and I wish them well for the future.
