Re: RIP Luniversal
Sad news. I have been busy bookmarking as many of Luniveral's posts as I can find, both the TMF versions and those preserved for posterity in the Internet Archive Wayback Machine.

Yep, just read that.
Sad news.
Suppose I'll have to check my own company dividend information now

It's easy enough to do, if you have a quick look at http://www.investegate.co.uk/ every working day by 8am.
I do it on my mobile and it only takes a minute or so.

Already they sound like some long lost sixties pop combos.
I'll miss them. And I'll miss him. I'll miss the linguistics. And I'll miss the debate that always followed his posts.

As soon as Clariman / Stooz get a rec system sorted, he'll be back.
Not sure about that. Reading TMF it i implies he was going to pack it in at the end of the year anyway.

He was so prolific and detailed that he must have enjoyed preparing those posts and spent a lot of time doing them. Perhaps when time weighs heavy he'll see the error of his ways and resume over here (I hope).

Has anyone captured some of his better threads on the baskets and stored them here or elsewhere for later reference?
Yes, all of them.

Re: RIP Luniversal
Yes, if I may also add my voice, it's a great shame that L'Uni decided against continuing on these Lemon Fool boards. His prolific posts over the relatively few years that I followed TMF boards were very much appreciated, including his often coloured/witty comments & enhancements!
If I made any posts about any IT's, he would invariably quickly pop up with some useful additional information.
I don't doubt that his posts took up a lot of his time and maybe he now feels he wants to devote more time to other things. That I can well understand. Though I am sure an odd appearance or post here would be welcome and appreciated, if he should feel the urge at anytime!!
Thanks for the input and the memories.
Whilst posting, may I also say a very big thank you to those involved in setting up these new boards and for doing so, so quickly & effeciently.
Regards

Re: RIP Luniversal
Hands up who has missed Luniversals' usual Friday "Week ahead" post. I certainly do. It always was a great source of what was forthcoming, and a real 'must see'.

Me too - but I do have a substitute. My HYP is recorded in a DigitalLook portfolio which has a Key Dates feature...

Generally though, I've found Luniversal's to be the more accurate of the two.

Hi Bree, thanks. I wasn't aware of that feature.

There's a personalised RNS news feed too. Both work on a Watchlist too if you don't to go to the bother of filling in all your holdings - just need to list the share names.
