The Season of Goodwill

#468276

Postby Clariman » December 23rd, 2021, 5:56 pm

Hello fellow Fools

The purpose of this message is twofold. First of all we want to wish you, your friends and family a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. For many, Christmas is an important religious festival, but for others it is simply a time of shared cultural celebration where we can come together, exchange gifts, have some fun and be nice to each other. Whatever Christmas does or does not mean to you, we hope you have a peaceful and happy one.

Above all it is a Season of Goodwill, which brings me on to my second point. Why don't we use the Season of Goodwill and the turning over of new leaves on 1st January, to reflect on our own behaviour on social media sites, like TLF. If there is another poster we have always challenged hard in an argument, step back and consider whether we should agree to differ or perhaps to say "you know, you may have a point there". You don't have to have the last word. It is easy to sit behind our anonymous user-names and say things that we would never say face to face. So use this festive season to acknowledge that it costs nothing to be nice.

:)

All the very best
Clariman and Stooz
P.S. "Prosperity" does not have to mean financial. It might be the value we get from relationships and other aspects of our lives.
