Unable to acccess site

I clicked on Ian' P's message about M & S results yesterday evening and the following message flashed across my screen:

"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an Error Document to handle the request."

I tried to access TLF via my browser with the same result.

This morning I was relieved to find that I was no longer being treated as a pariah and could do both without a problem. What do you suppose was going on?
