uninstalled the app
re-installed the app
it recognised i had an account and progressed at least to retaking ID etc

now says i need to retake ID again. Im really at a loss of what to do here. Anything with a modicum of light within several miles gets rejected as too bright. The one place in the house I can seemingly take a photo is so dark i can only assume the resultant photo 9which their app takes) is not acceptable.

its a hell of a palaver to try and get through. Im losing the will to bother, despite the 1.5% interest rate

Just for info, I saw that the rates with Raisin and AJBell (Youinvest) have gone up since last week.

e.g. 2-year fixed rates at 2.06%.

Still lower than 8.2 % RPI, but better to lose 6% than 7%.

Though I'm sure they're working on a new way to calculate inflation.

Marcus instant access savings account rate increased last week. Now 1% (inclusive of .1% bonus which lasts for 1 year although seem to be able to roll over whenever you like).

I find it a particularly simple account to operate - although I think it's an online only account.
