AJBell savings up and down like a yo-yo!

I had steam coming out of my ears the last few times the interest rates went up, and AJBell actually lowered 'their' rates.
Now they've gone back up to where they were months ago:
Fixed rates:
Less than 1 year 3.78%
1-2 years 4.3%
2-3 year 4.35%
Over 3 years 4.4%
95 days notice account 3.3%
I also use Monzo:
Instant access 3%
Instant access ISA 2%
1 year fixed 3.55%
9 months 3.2%
6 months 3.0%
3 months 2.75%
May be of use to someone?

Seems odd to me that people hold any significant cash with their broker
just a thought

This is not cash for broking. AJBell have their own 'Savings Hub' that works like Raisin and Monzo, i.e. your savings will be with another bank. AJBell, like the others, will receive a small commission.
Yes, you can probably get a slightly higher rate with the bank used, but it's convenient to have everything in one place.

What is weird is that I opened an account with Raisin last year but every application for a fixed term account was denied. Never found out why!
I find the AJBell rates usually quite competitive. I guess it depends on your needs. Monzo can't usually match AJBell, but their 3,6 and 9 month accounts may be just what some people are looking for.
