YBS Banking offline

#599201

Postby Gerry557 » July 1st, 2023, 11:19 am

Im struggling today with banking apps and websites. This morning its Yorkshire Building Society

Its the beginning of the month and Im trying to make some transfers and payments.

The app is down ish. You can get logged in but it closes down before you can get it to do anything. I tried the website and that has a "Maximum stack overflow"

I ended up ringing up. Usual message our lines are really busy! expect 15min wait.

I managed to finally pass security, I failed the first two time and was on my last attempt. "Try another password" was the advice. I wrote it down and triple checked the details. There was another way but it wouldn't allow me to transfer my funds. As this was the whole point of the call .......
The third time it worked, maybe the operator misheard me or typed it wrong when trying.

Started going through a list of payments when the last one could not be done. It in the account is in the wife's name and she doesn't have log on details but just uses the "non working" app. So no transfer allowed. Unfortunately this payment was to cover all the others

The only hope is that YBS coders get there finger out and get the system back on line later today so I can close all my payments off.

Well that curse is very effective. It still down again today. The app is half working. I can see my funds but I wont allow me to edit the name to make a transfer out. It wont even let me delete the gobbledygook it put in and keeps typing more gobbledygook when you delete.

I feel a small complaint appening
