Is there a way of narrowing down a search to only items that qualify towards the £25 free delivery?

I keep going round in circles trying to do this. Either I'm missing something or they make it deliberately difficult.

If you get it delivered to a locker it can be free irrespective of value.

There's no such thing as free delivery it is always built into the price somewhere.

The days of Amazon being the cheapest are gone, if you shop around there are always better deals. I'm sure Amazon still try to "discourage" sellers from undercutting them outside the Amazon platform, but I think there must have been a few legal cases as far more sellers are now prepared to beat them on price.

Isn't that what the 'Eligible for free delivery' check box (top of the left sidebar) does? Curiously it's not always present, but drilling down a level generally makes it appear.

I tried that one. But it seems to combine items which need the £25 total and items which simply have free delivery.

I have a couple of items in my basket and I want to find other items which will bring my "eligible for free delivery" total up to £25.

Ah OK, I'd not spotted that one. FWIW there are various websites that let you search for items of the required value, for example:

(picked entirely at random).

Thanks, I'm sure that could be useful to some. But I really want to reach the £25 by looking for specific items I need rather than just browsing departments.

I also think Amazon make their website deliberately difficult.
They have a "sort by price", but not sort by "total price with delivery". So a company can advertise a small widget for £1 and charge £30 delivery.

The price filters are unreliable & they also stuff the results page with sponsored content.

The product search facility is awful. Generally, it's easier to find an Amazon product via google search than Amazon.

The only thing Amazon do very well is logistics. If I want to order something with a >95% probability of next day delivery, I can't think of anywhere else to go.
[On the rare occasions they do fail with logistics, they fail badly. If they miss the delivery, don't expect them to deliver the following day].

I'm not surprised you can't find what you want. Amazon don't try to make shopping with specific requirements easy.

Also look at groceries that you might use. Jar of coffee or toilet rolls. As long as your not paying more it helps bump up the price.

There's a tool at https://www.supersaverdeliverytool.com/ that will search for cheap items to take you up to £25. It doesn't let you search by category though.

I suggest shopping around rather than simply accepting that statement. While Amazon is more expensive for very many things, I was surprised to find that they were the cheapest place to buy knitting needles a couple of years ago.

Shop around, you know that it makes sense.

For products available on amazon you can track previous prices and set alerts with the camel

We just keep a list/post it note handy of "things-we-need-not-right-now-but-next-time-someone's-doing-an-amazon-order-and-wants-to-hit-the-limit".

Printer cartridges, paper, hoover bags, pencils, weird led light bulbs currently. All sorts of things.
