BBOX
Today, I added a dose of Tritax Big Box to my HYP. The forecast yield is 5%-ish so just scrapes in to my criterion for yield. Yield given on HL is 4.74% historic.
Hopefully this will tap into the safer end of property, pairing with my British Land holding and into internet shopping. Let's hope it isn't a nine month wonder!
I bought about 0.7 of a "unit" which used most of the available cash in that particular account, and after this purchase it lies 13th in the topup rankings. SLA lies top of the eligible rankings at the moment and will probably receive something next month. The HYP now has 36 shares.
NB SLA is in a different broker account from BBOX, and this does have some spare cash.
Pleased to be joining MDW in holding this share.

Good luck with your purchase Arb. I'm at 29 holdings and don't feel the urge to further expand my HYP by buying even more shares. I'm keen to not become a self inflicted victim of diworsification.
imho you don't have to have a finger in every pie just for the sake of it. But each to their own.

Well, that's true, but whether this is diworsification I'll let you know in five years. I'm hoping it will make a good partner with BLND in my property sector and in a way which avoids traditional retail. I remember you were once rather cynical about my choice of IGG, but then you joined the party rather late.

Re: BBOX
Arb,
I wonder if the fcast yield is based on an uplift of 2.22% (Quarterly dividend of 1.7125p versus last financial years quarterly dividend of 1.675p)?

I'm curious as to your source of forecast divi. (as I would like to check out some others).

As I said, good luck with your purchase, I hope it works out for you. A few months ago I toyed with expanding my Reit coverage, even looking at BBOX. I went for LAND instead in the end, favouring it’s size.
As for IG Group, it was Stephen Bland who suggested buying them.

MDW also holds ESP, PHP, LXI, and WHR among a clutch of other higher-yielding REITs.

Apologies Ian, and forget my previous remark.
In fact, my memory was at fault because it wasn't IGG but Man Group which you occasionally joshed me about. That hasn't done so badly, BTW, with a TR of 10.36% since purchase - with rather lumpy divs.

Morning Arb, no need to apologise, but thanks nonetheless. For me this month I’m topping up my BP. holdings on 27 Jan 20. Buy when others are fearful and all that. For next month I’m Pickering over an IMB top up.

Re: BBOX
My wife & I hold a small position
It is about 2% of our combined portfolios & gives us about 2% of our income.
I’ve ended up pretty overweight on REITs at the moment so I have no intention of adding

There have been some wonderful bargains over the past three years, so I'm fairly overweight, too. That said, I bought into CREI a few weeks ago. So I'm still buying, just not as much.
