Can't see a thread on this, for those invested, has anyone done anything other than accept the offer? Regretting not selling during the covid high, nearly did.

I saw commentary elsewhere, cheers for that link. Is there a chance to do anything yet? I've not accepted the offer, nor know if I've been offered.

I hold in my HL ISA and my AJ Bell SIPP and have been informed by both that I can accept the offer any time from now up to - I think - 22nd August. If you do and you change your mind can undo it. The alternative doesn't look very appealing and the offer is on the condition of at least - again I think - 90% acceptance. Something like that anyway, would need to re-read to confirm.

I cleverly bought more during the pandemic. When they cut their dividend I cut my losses and sold out. The shares didn't deliver for me in much the same way that Royal Mail doesn't deliver most of my parcels, prefering to drive them to a place 45 minutes away rather than knock on a neighbour's door. I have spotted the corporate action in AJ bell now. I have until 20/08/2024 so I'll check in more detail.

I appear to have 2 options.
Tick box one for Take No Action (default)
Tick box two for Accept Offer

What if I don't tick either box?

And later on "We will elect to accept the offer on your behalf in the event that it becomes compulsory."
I will continue to do nothing.

I hold these in certificated form, and have no wish to sell, I thought the letter advising of my options looked like a scam, lacking in detail and specifics, so intend to ignore it.

I'm going with "the default". C.

And I've seen Halifax have an announcement for me. Just one option to tick so I'll ignore that for now too.
