Hi Yieldhog
You must have a very big holding in Mapeley to justify paying those high fees to get it out of your SIPP! I have just transferred my share account from Halifax to HL but they could not accept Mapeley so I am trying to get my holding transferred to the CREST register in my name. Mapeley says contact your nominee holder but Halifax says contact the Registrars. We will see if JCT Registrars send me a form to do this. But as I only have 43 shares I am not prepared to pay any high fees to do this and am prepared to close my Halifax account and let them donate the holding to charity.

Thank you for this useful thread. I had shares in my SIPP that stopped trading on LSE and recommenced trading on the Hong Kong exchange. Barclays Wealth SIPP have been incredibly unhelpful and have just said that they can’t hold Hong Kong shares and there is nothing I can do about it unless they recommence trading on the LSE. I will have a go at trying the procedure mentioned in this thread.

Pleasantly surprised to receive a cheque in the post yesterday for dividend of £1.76 per share for my Mapeley shares, which I now hold in certificate form.
I can't find any information online about the reason for the dividend. Does anyone know if this is just a one-off for a special event or the start of regular payments?

I called Mapeley this morning to try to shed some light on the dividend cheque that was sent to me last week.
Receptionist was unaware of an Investor Relations department in Mapeley but said she had received a number of calls about the dividend. However, the man dealing with that is on holiday but she is making a list of everyone who calls and says someone will cal back.
Does anyone know when the 2021 Annual Report is due out? I think it may be May 20th but not sure. Hopefully that will shed some light on the matter.

Pleasant surprise indeed. Last div was 24p in 2011, I thought that was the last I would ever see from these shares.
