The dead hand of Unilever. Urrgh.
There is a good deal of R&D spend in toothpaste. It's not just churning out the same old. I don't see this as a good fit at all.

Well we may see other bids now, perhaps from the US - eg. Kraft you may remember had a go at Unilever not so long ago.
