Marstons Prelims

#8679

Postby mattman74 » November 24th, 2016, 5:50 pm

http://www.marstons.co.uk/docs/financia ... s-2016.pdf

These are out today and they look great.

Final dividend up 4.4% to 4.7p
Every financial metric in the company is improving.
Cover is x1.9

And the share price tanked 2.5% from a very low base. Go figure. I even listened to the results
presentation and still could not understand why.

Yield now around 5.5%.

So I topped up and was happy.

Matt

PS. I regularly check on the product quality.

I bought a first batch of it yesterday at median level, hoping for a positve report today. Got the report but similarly mystified by the SP drop even if it was only small.
Wishing I'd topped up Chesnara instead (8.4% rise) but still expecting a good end result from these figures.

Just a quick note to say that TJH beat you to it on reporting Marstons results here

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=905

So it might simplify things to keep any further discussions to that one thread.

Haven't you noticed that share which report good results invariably fall on the announcement?

Especially if teh dividend is increased.
