Remarkable. I was offered a job there way back in the day but turned it down because it was expected to be closed down within two years. Obviously, someone had the good sense to keep it open.

But, alas, I just read in that article it's closing next year. The jobs exported to France, no doubt :roll:

Terrific achievements at JET though.

How many if these are EU states?

As signatories to the ITER Agreement, the ITER Members China, the European Union, India, Japan, Korea, Russia and the United States will share in the cost of project.

All part of the U.K.-EU trade and Co-operation Agreement. Those articles are a year out of date.

Similarly, the U.K.’s membership of the Horizon Programme was a part of that agreement and yet remains uncertain.

The U.K. is still not guaranteed to be able to fully participate in ITER.
