Enteq do a great job of hiding their light under a bushel, I wish I could be their RNS writer. OK, they're only in the black on a fudged-EBITDA basis, but it's a start - revenues were up 112%, they're spending 22% of revenues on R&D, they feel like one of those companies that's if the new technology is any good, they will be bought out before they get the benefit of it.
Tullow's trading statement was OK, no real surprises other than postponing their Capital Markets Day into 2023 so presumably they've got an alternative to the Capricorn deal in the works.

Synergia formally request delisting from ASX, among other things citing the lack of ability to raise funds there. Some comments on the changes to the EPL windfall tax - increases from 25% to 35% (on top of the 40% normal ring-fence+supplementary rate), whilst crucially the investment allowance reduces from 80% to 29% for all but decarbonisation investment (" investment in carbon emissions reducing technology") - can imagine there will be some fun in getting definitions for that, like whether it includes reducing other people's emissions via carbon capture etc. Also " a new and temporary tax of 45% will be introduced on the extraordinary profits of electricity generators".

In a classic 6pm-on-Friday-night Upland announced they were ending the farmout by Pennpetro in Tunisia, even though Pennpetro had paid in shares for their share of past liabilities and farming out the current liabilities for seismic was what saved Upland as a going concern earlier this year. Pennpetro claim that the problem was Upland not fulfilling their side of the bargain - there's a half-hearted effort to extend the licence but it seems Upland's Malaysian boss is far more interested in Sarawak than Tunisia these days. I imagine Pennpetro's lawyers are busy...

As outlined in the announcement by Upland of 15 September 2022, a final deadline of 5 November 2022 had been set by way of a Formal Notice dated 5 September 2022 received from the Ministry of Industry Mines and Energy of Tunisia. The Notice requested the replacement by Upland of an expired bank guarantee of US$1M on or before 5 November 2022. Under the terms of the Farm Out Agreement (FOA) with Pennpetro, announced on 21 July 2022, Pennpetro is responsible for meeting the financial obligations associated with the license extension conditional upon both Pennpetro and the Tunisian authorities being satisfied with the result.
Since the announcement issued on 21 July 2022, the Board of Pennpetro has been awaiting confirmation from its Upland counterparts that the expired bank guarantee has been replaced, enabling Pennpetro to move forward with its plans for the near-term development of the Saouaf Permit. However, the Pennpetro Board received neither confirmation that the bank guarantee had been replaced by the Upland Board or confirmation that the deadline had not been met by Upland. The implications of this failure to replace the expired bank guarantee by Upland on Pennpetro's proposed farm-in was also not disclosed....

Tower Resources Cameroon S.A ("TRCSA"), has been notified by BGFI Bank Group ("BGFI"), the largest bank group in Central Africa, that the medium term loan of approximately US$7 million for which TRCSA and BGFI agreed a term sheet at the end of June 2022 (the "Loan"), has been approved by the credit committee of the Cameroon bank. Further approval is still required at the BGFI group level and discussions are now turning to the details of the structure and documentation, as well as a potential modest enlargement of the facility....
As previously disclosed, the Loan should cover around 40% of the approximate US$18 million cost of the well, with a further amount of 25% already having been paid for by TRCSA. The balance of 35% of the cost of the well is also to be funded by TRCSA. This balance may be funded by further financing at the asset level, or with corporate funds.

Bei Ying has made an initial purchase of 10 Invinity VS3 batteries with a total capacity of 2.2 MWh. Acting in its capacity as a local, in-country reseller for Invinity, these batteries will be resold by Bei Ying to end-users within Taiwan. The first battery will be delivered to an industrial technology research institute with the remainder expected to be sold to commercial and industrial electricity users in conjunction with renewable energy and electric vehicle charging equipment.
This commercial milestone represents entry into the Taiwanese market for Invinity and an additional commercial partnership in East Asia through which the Company expects to generate significant new sales. A deposit is now due, with the first battery planned for delivery next month, December 2022. Delivery of the remaining nine batteries is expected to occur throughout 2023.

When these appraisal rates are normalized for a horizontal lateral length of 5,500' - i.e. the length of the average lateral planned in the upcoming program - the IP120 rate per well is approximately 900 boe/d (5.4 MMcfe/d)....

On Monday 31st of October, Barryroe Offshore Energy ("Barryroe") announced that it had received communication from the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications ("DECC") indicating that DECC believed that the Company had not yet demonstrated sufficient compliance with the guidelines set out in DECC's 'Financial Capability Assessment for Offshore Oil & Gas Exploration and Appraisal Applications Guidance' to get awarded the Barryroe Lease Undertaking. Since then, the Board has engaged with its major shareholders, and the Company is pleased to confirm that it has substantially agreed a funding arrangement with its existing shareholder Vevan Unlimited Company ("Vevan") to underwrite all of the expected funding required to undertake the work programme proposed in the Lease Undertaking Application. The legal documentation is in final format and is expected to be executed on 22 November 2022.
The funding is in the form of a redeemable secured Convertible Loan Note instrument ("the Loan Notes"). The Loan Notes are to be issued by the Company, and subject to its terms, the Loan Note holders commit to fund the Barryroe Work Programme (in an amount up to €40,000,000) in accordance with such obligations as may be ultimately approved by the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications in any Lease Undertaking granted pursuant to section 10(1) of the Petroleum and Mineral Development Act, 1960 (as amended). The total amount committed pursuant to the loan note instrument will be up to €40,000,000 which covers 100% of the estimated cost of the Work Programme as set out in the Lease Undertaking Application. These funds are currently held in a solicitor's client account to Vevan's order and are available to be drawn down in accordance with the terms of the Loan Note.

The Company continued defending its positions for the 20-year Bitlyanska gas license and filed a claim at the Cassation Court.

As previously announced, the Company has experienced delays caused by both ongoing global supply chain issues and the engineering and scale-up issues identified in the preliminary commissioning of its initial units....In recent weeks, the Company has identified a further potential issue with the design and operation of the cryostat unit within the existing MFE 30 test unit with investigations currently ongoing. If confirmed, this issue will be addressed in the next generation MFE 220 units as part of the ongoing upgrade and design adjustments. However, a retrofit solution will require to be implemented for the initial two units that will result in a delay to the delivery of these to customers, which had been scheduled for October 2022. As a result of these further delays, Octopus Hydrogen has informed the Company that it has cancelled its order with the Company, as it intends to use an alternative electrolyser solution at its first site, which is expected to go live in the coming weeks. As a result, the Company has reimbursed the deposit paid by Octopus Hydrogen.

The well bore will now be cased and cemented to this point before resuming drilling, largely horizontally, a further 500 metres into and through the most productive part of the reservoir. This further work is expected to last around 14 days following which well clean up and testing operations will commence.

Predator are feeling the need to go big on Morocco to prove up a meaningful amount of gas at a time of tight supply chains, so directors are exercising warrants to generate the extra cash they need, plus a loan from selling the resulting shares. Bit unconventional but seems kosher.

Industry interest in any future participation in the Guercif gas project has referenced an export option to Europe should Guercif gas resources be proved up more quickly by additional drilling. The Company believes that a target gas production profile of 150 to 250 mm cfgpd will be required in order to create the potential for winter-focussed gas sales of surplus Moroccan gas into the European market....
To address this additional export option the MOU-1 and MOU-2 testing programmes are being expanded to include all potential gas reservoirs in the wells to maximise gas deliverabilities. This involves some additional costs in equipment and for extra operational days. The costs are justified by creating an opportunity to demonstrate the ability to quickly scale up gas production to embrace both a domestic market and a larger export gas markets. This is an incremental near-term strategic objective that is not in competition with the current commitment to develop initial gas production for the Moroccan industrial market using a trucked Compressed Natural Gas option.
The total additional costs to fulfil the Company's near-term strategic objective are forecast to be approximately of £900,000....

As previously announced, ASH-4, a step-out development well in the ASH field [UOG 22%], encountered 20 metres of net pay through the primary Alam El Bueib ("AEB") reservoir target. Preliminary well-test results indicated average flow rates of 1,325 bopd and 1.8 mmscf/d (c. 1,685 boepd gross; 371 boepd net working interest) on a 32/64" choke, with no water production and encouraging reservoir pressure.
The well was brought on stream on 17 November 2022 on the 32/64" choke size and although initial flow-rates were in excess of the well-test average, over recent days the rates from the well have sharply declined, suggesting that the well is connected to a smaller volume of oil than had been expected pre-drill. The choke size has now been reduced to 24/64" to manage the reservoir and production rates from the well, which are expected to stabilise over the coming days, but these will be at a lower level than had previously been anticipated....
the Company is revising its current 2022 full year production guidance for the Abu Sennan licence to 1,300-1,325 boepd net from 1,450-1,500 boepd net. This updated guidance does not include any contribution from the workovers that are still to be completed in late Q4 2022, which if successful could deliver up to an additional 175 boepd net to our production levels as we move into 2023.

Tomco also do a brutal fundraising - giving away 12% of the company at 27% discount, looks like they won't be able to raise the money for their oilsands project directly but will end up giving away a majority stake in return for funding of their share of capex. Current deadline is end of the month.
Ithaca's first quarterly results since returning to the market are OK.
Zenith try to make out their results are much better than they are - they just about managed to turn a profit but margins are not what they should be.

· The introduction of the Energy Profits Levy, enacted on 11 July 2022, resulted in an exceptional material non-cash deferred tax charge in the three months ended 30 September 2022 of $189 million.

Global is pleased to announce that it has agreed with Searcher Geodata UK Ltd ("Searcher"), to sponsor an Environmental Impact Assessment ("EIA") to be managed by Searcher, ahead of a multi-client 3D seismic data survey planned by Searcher in the Walvis Basin in 2023. The area of the EIA sponsored by Global covers a large section of the Walvis Basin, extending well beyond the boundaries of Global's Licence PEL 94 (Figure 1).
As previously announced, Global is seeking a farm-in a partner to fund the further work programme in PEL 94. The current commitment is the acquisition of 2,000 sq. kms of 3D seismic data. To shoot 3D seismic would be particularly interesting in the eastern part of the block, where it is estimated there are leads with a total of over 2 billion barrels of gross best estimate (P50) prospective resources. T hese leads are currently defined by a 2D seismic data grid only.
The existing 3D seismic data coverage over the two prospects, Welwitschia Deep and Marula, has facilitated the calculation of gross best estimate (P50) prospective resources of 881 million barrels in total . Global regards Welwitschia Deep and Marula as drill ready,

As most recently announced in the Company's Interim Results on 26 September 2022, Curzon and Poseidon Enhanced Technologies ("PET") continue discussions regarding a potential RTO of PET by Curzon. PET's formal exclusivity rights with Curzon have however expired allowing the Company to explore additional RTO opportunities and transactions.
At Coos Bay, the Company continues dialogue with the two main leaseholders regarding a potential renewal of the primary Coos Bay leases and will update the market on progress on these efforts as appropriate. The Company's Coos Bay gas assets were impaired in full in the 2019 annual accounts.
