When does the online National Insurance Record get updated?

HMRC website is showing 'Your record for this year is not available yet' for 2018-19. Does anybody have any experience of when this might be updated?

Online SA form was submitted 8 May, showing voluntary class 2 contributions.

I don't know this for sure, but I did the SA, class 2 thing last year, and I seem to remember the NI record didn't get updated until after Jan 31st of this year.

Correct if you pay Class 2 NI say April 2019 or May 2019, the cash sits with HMRC and the transfer happens 31 January 2020. At that point your NI record is uprated and if you are already receiving a state pension, the process of increasing your pension payments starts.

If you phone up the state pension help line they can get the payment transferred a lot faster. Now that only happens if the person you talk to has done that part of the course and over 50% of the phone operators have not done that page of the course. Therefore, it is a lottery.

Start phoning at 7:59 am as by just after 8:00 am the phone is constantly engaged.

We are waiting until the end of January 2020 as we were unable to get through a number of times and gave up.
