Scott; Quite agree. I was merely exploring the logic or lack thereof (as is often the case) of the legislation. Basically, no checks made at the outset and it is possible for someone to get around the rules with virtually no risk
I have already written a statement which just needs the odd tweak and advised reference to the relevant act. Signed, dated, witnessed and placed with a copy of the grant of probate & will, with date received, should do the job..
